The province of Alicante on the Costa Blanca
A province with beautiful beaches but also a beautiful interior! The province of Alicante is full of contrasts, from desert-like areas to humid coastal zones.
Alicante, the capital of the Costa Blanca
Alicante is a well-known seaside and harbour town and the capital of the Costa Blanca. The most famous landmark of Alicante is the 16th-century Castillo de Santa Bárbara, which is located on the mountain Benacantil. From the castle you have a beautiful view over the city of Alicante. Take a walk on the Explanada de España, the palm-lined boulevard that runs along the harbour. Also visit the Baroque town hall with the famous Blue Room and mirror gallery. Do you find visiting a museum more interesting? Then visit the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, where modern artists such as Dalí are exhibited.
